Independent Living Worker – East Lothian and Midlothian

We are looking for a caring, creative, innovative and dedicated person to join our Independent Living team in Sight Scotland Veterans to provide support to people with sight loss.

The independent living team delivers a local information, advice and support service for vision impaired veterans living in Scotland.  As an independent living worker you will be expected to work with veterans, their families and carers to assess, plan and review their sight loss needs, in order to promote independent living.

You will be home based and will work predominantly in the East Lothian and Midlothian areas.

If you have an SVQ level 3 Health and Social Care, or a willingness to work toward this qualification or another professional health or social care qualification as well as demonstrable experience of working with older people or adults with a vision impairment, those with other disabilities, mental health or service veterans in the community
