This is a Fixed Term Contract, Full Time vacancy that will close in {x} days at {xx:xx} BST.

The aim of this role is to lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the finance team, including Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, and Payroll. 

The purpose of the role is to support the Director of Finance and Finance Manager as the charities enter their next phase of development. This includes developing meaningful management information; implementation and integration of new systems and processes which build the charities longer term capability. 

There are various development opportunities attached to this role, including support for studying a recognised professional qualification and other relevant training. 

Required Skills / Experience:

Essential:

  • HND in Accounting, AAT or equivalent recognised accountancy qualification or appropriate substantive, relevant experience. 

  • Demonstrable experience of managing an effective finance team 

  • Evidence of effective leadership Skills 

  • Ability to work on own initiative 

  • Team player with the ability to interact effectively with finance and non-finance staff 

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and deliver results against agreed timelines. 

  • Excellent communication & interpersonal skills  

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills 

  • An understanding of relevant charity policies and procedures 

Desirable:

  • An understanding of charitable organisations and relevant reporting schedules. 

  • Experience of working with NetSuite
